Letter from President
On behalf of Pichardo United LLC, I would like to thank you for visiting our website and expressing interest in The Tostonera La Joya.
Our company was founded under the fundamental ideal that everyone should have the opportunity to own healthy, durable, and high-quality kitchen products. When you purchase The Tostonera La Joya, you are acquiring a kitchen utensil that originated from many years of research, design, and expertise in fine metals.
My career as a welder began shortly after I arrived in New York City from Dominican Republic in 1970. I worked for a company that manufactured medals for American soldiers that were distinguished during the Vietnam War. At this company, I learned the basic elements of welding iron and aluminum. In 1982, our family decided to return to the Dominican Republic, where we founded a welding company that specialized in building residential fences and commercial signs. Our company, The Union Welding Co, quickly became one of the most famous and recognized in the capital of Santo Domingo. Our company was the first to build and install highway signs equipped with lighting technology in the Dominican Republic. In 1987, we returned to the United States and I began to work for a major commercial airline company welding and maintaining airplane components. For the last 20 years, I worked for a company welding and manufacturing parts for military naval ships and submarines.
During this time, I earned several federal licenses and certifications to work with and weld steel, aluminum, iron, and stainless steel. My expertise with metals and welding eventually earned me the prestigious title of Class 'A' Welder.
The goal behind the design of The Tostonera La Joya was to completely revolutionized the way in which people cook and prepare tostones. We are confident that will find La Joya to be the most versatile and durable Tostonera that you'd ever used. Once again, thank you very much for visiting our website and we are proud that you've decided to bring The Tostonera La Joya into your home.
Sincerely,

Felix Pichardo |
